Activities at the Museum of Cáceres on International Museum Day 2013

We share with you the program of activities in the Cáceres Museum for this May 18, International Museum Day, which will be developed by teachers and students of the Baccalaureate of Performing Arts, Music and Dance and the Baccalaureate of Plastic Arts of the Al-Qazeres Secondary Education Institute.

Activities to be carried out between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm:

Set visit: Historical figures will explain to the visitor the contents of the Museum through a dramatization that will take place in Rooms 2, 3, 4, 9, 12, 14 and 17.
Ceramic manufacturing workshop: The youngest visitors will learn basic techniques of clay work and will develop a creative workshop for the manufacture of ceramic elements in the Assembly Hall.
It can: In different rooms, visitors will be able to carry out unusual actions in the Museum with some unforeseen surprise. It can be eaten (room 4), it can be touched (room 5), it can be painted (main patio), it can be broken (room 12), it can be carried (exit from the museum).
What is a Museum for you?: After visiting the Museum and participating in the proposed activities, visitors will be able to express their concept of the Museum in writing or graphically in an album that will be available at the Museum Exit.

Activities to be held at established hours:

10:30 and 11:00 hours. Art and music in the Temple of the Muses: The visitor will attend a musical interpretation inspired by works and spaces of the Museum, it will take place in room 15 (Contemporary Art) and inside the Hispano-Muslim Aljibe.
12:30 hours. Playing with color, Tribute to Pollock: Through dance and music, and inspired by works from the Museum, visitors will be able to create their own work of art in the Museum Garden.

Participation in the different activities is free and free, and no prior registration is required. Punctuality is requested.
